Can anybody tell me if it is OK to drink low fat milk during pregnancy? Ive just checked teh calcium levels in the slimline milk and the low fat milk and there is more calcium in the slimline! Hard to believe really! At home Im drinking super milk but they dont have that in work!

Also, is it OK to eat coleslaw? Some websites say that homemade coleslaw is OK but not to buy ready-made coleslaw because it contains some bacteria, but, coleslaw or mayonnaise is not listed in alot of the 'foods to avoid' during pregnancy!

Can anybody through any light on this for me?

Thanks.

Hi Cherrie,

It's ok to have low fat, skimmed, full fat, soya etc milk!! And coleslaw is fine to eat also.... ready-made is also fine, but as you know, ready-made food in general is never as good (or as healthy) as your own!! They just suggest not to eat ready-made coleslaw as a precaution... 9/10 times you get ready-made salads they are yummy & fine, but they just have a higher risk of bacteria, that's all. So, it's up to you whether you want to eat them or not!!

HTH, x
