Count us in for Sunday - assuming not held up by feeds, sleep etc. Will keep checking to see what the final verdict is on Kris Kringle and will go with the flow. MMG - good to see you've all gotten over the birthday!! Have been checking out the Gymboree classes and Olive if it is of any use to you they run one in Claregalway on Thursday at 3pm. HAPPY BIRTHDAY To EIMEAR We'll have to sing you a "Happy Birthday" rendition on Sunday.
Great to see we'll have such a good turn out for it. Re. The Kris Kindle thing, I'm just going to bring a present anyway as I won't be checking in here after today to see the verdict.( We'll be in Sligo) If we don't have the numbers to participate, I'll just bring it home again afterwards.
Looking forward to seeing you all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMER!!! SEE YOU LATER IN GB??
How about we just exchange cheques worth ?10???!!!!!! Melissa you are right, getting all too complicated . Don't think the pressie thing will work. Lets save ourselves the money and hassle altogether and forget it. Here's the list of attendees, those q'd have still to confirm: Irene Fiona Olive Michelle Roisin Melissa Helen Louise Cat Nano (?) Becs (?) Caitlin(?)
+ kids and hubbies
Melissa, sorry to 'hear' (pardon the pun) that Lily didn't do too well on the hearing. I am still waiting for an appoint. With the specialist for Lauren.
Good to hear from you Caitlin, yes bring the whole gang! Busy Bees is at the quality hotel roundabout, turn up beside the hotel and in there is Tom Dempseys furniture, it is 2 doors down from there. How is little Aoibheann? She must be nearing the big ONE also? BB's would be perfect for your boys, as there is a separate section for older kids to the under 3,s. Had a scan yesterday, my babies are doing well, TG. Consultant reckons I won't be able to drive in about 2 weeks, I am getting so big and he reckons I'll have to finish work at Christmas!! We'll see how it all goes.
Will be on for GB tomorrow also.
Looking forward to the Bash on Sunday.
Someone else can start making suggestions for a night out for the mammies now!

Thanks for the birthday wishes and yes Fiona I'll be in GB today. But please don't expect a fancy birthday cake. My friend Liz is down with her baby Darach, so they'll be there as well.
See everyone on Sunday.

Hi girls, Hope to see you all on Sun. - don't know if hubby will be around and hopefully Conor will be fully over his cold, although he was worse again yesterday - coughing again! Poor guy seems to have it all the time and am considering giving him the antibiotic, but then the next day he is great!! Still teething like mad. Yes, think its best to leave pressie idea now at this stage - great idea but probably wouldn't have a chance to buy anything now. Fionamc - great to hear babies are doing well, can't wait to see the bump - you were so neat last time I saw you. Melb - Hope Lily's hearing is ok-she just may not have been in the mood on the day. I've got 2 grobags for you (I don't use them for Conor anymore) and I'd be delighted if someone else could knock some use out of them. One is a light one for Spring and this has not been used. Hopefully I'll remember to bring them with me on Sunday. Hope to see you all on Sunday. Olive

Hi all,
Olive, thanks for thinking of me and the grobags but unfortunately Lily has become fed up with them so you'll have to find a more appreciative baby!
Really looking forward to Sunday!

Thanks everyone again for the birthday wishes. We had a lovely day and she was wildly excited cos her boyfriend Darach was down from Cavan. Mind you a few of the girls at GB were oogling over him. I dread the teenage years - she's a little fresh. Olive, better keep Conor away.
Love Roisin.

Roisin I already asked you about Laurens beaker. Irene or Becky, did any of ye pick up Laurens pink beaker by any chance, think we left it behind us. Hope that Darach lad didn't take it back to Cavan with him, he seemed very fond of it!!

Everybody
It was great seeing you all yesterday. It was a big success wasn't it? Thanks to those of you that suggested it and did the research for the venue. We're we lucky to have an offical photographer too, thanks Mel, looking forward to seeing the photos.
It was great to see new faces - Caitlin and family. Just as it was great to see the fellow working Mums and toddlers ( I wouldn't dare say 'babas' anymore having seen them all in action yesterday) . That Busy Bees is a marvellous place, all the children were in their element. I have to say that Lily stole the show with her walking displays. She is such a live wire, I can't believe she is walking at 10 months!!! We are currently researching where we can get one of those tyre things for Ava - could come in very handy!
A few of us suggested a pre-christmas Moms get together. We thought a Thursday might be a good night as people will have Christmas parties and festivities going on at weekends Thursday week ( Dec 5th was suggested). Have we any takers? If this date isn't good for the majority then just suggest another one (even a weekend) and we will try to row in. I would think it will be difficult enough to get a restaurant so we would want to get moving. When replying let us know what type of food you would like. Pizza, indian, chinese, international.
Finally, re. Gymboree I have emailed that lady to find out what time her free preview call is on this Friday. Takerswise I have Fiona, Mel, Roisin and myself on the list. If you know anybody else invite them along, the more the better. I will also try to get one or two more. Anyway best go do some work.
Talk soon

Hi girls, Great to meet up with you all again and great to meet for the first time Sinead, Maxim, Cat, Caitlin's boys and the Daddies. I couldn't believe how some of the babies had changed & grown - sorry, as MMG said I should say toddlers. (Maybe we should be on the toddler board). I didn't realise how shy Conor is - I suppose he is only used to the two bigger girls at the childminders, but then, his Daddy is shy, so maybe that's his nature.
He was coughing again last night and chewing on his hands - I wish this tooth would come quick, quick.
Re. Mammies night out. Thurs. 5th suits me ok and I'd eat anything. Olive

Hi ladies,
Glad you had a good time at Busybees. Grace says sorry she didn't come but her Mummy was too busy out on the tiles herself (one last fling before the big 30). Feeling extremely delicate today and getting no sympathy from Grace who thought it would be a good idea to produce the worlds most hideous nappy first thing this morning. How I miss those teetotal pregnant months! She also thinks she's an ickle bit small for Busybees.
I thought she'd gone off boys since Darach pulled her socks off at GB last week but she seems to have fallen for the boy on the packet of Lovmi nappies which sits next to her on the changing table. She won't stop staring at him and gets upset when you take her away! Roisin - you think you've got worries in that department! :-)
Anyway, I would love to get together for a night out but, as I mentioned before, I'm away until December 14th. I would suggest Dec 19th but understand if that's getting a little near Christmas for everyone.
xxx PS Fiona - Hope the beaker has been found - I'm afraid I didn't see it.x

Hi, It was absolutely fantastic meet up in Busy Bees, the place is a heaven for children. Fiona, thanks for organising the meet up and researching the place! Althought we did not perform much on a playground yet :) but it was so nice to see other moms and babies, cant believe Max will be crawling and playing and walking and interacting with others soon. Right now we are getting his first smiles (it might be not consious smile yet, but I was in tears, so adorable his smile is), he's learning to grab a toy and today we were teaching Max to clap hands! He even managed to do something like that himself, or at least was pulling hands in the right direction :) Bellyno2, it was great to see you now after that meeting in Radisson, seems ages ago, so much happened since then! Max hopes to meet Kieran sometimes too :) Melb, great thanks for taking photos! Becks sorry you could not make it, hope to see you&little Grace sometimes in GB. Caitlin, Olive, Michelle (and I obviously missed someone, sorry, pregnancy brain smoothly transformed to nappy brain so no memory left at all) - was nice to meet you. I'm not sure about Christmas for moms only, cant even imagine Max being in more than few steps from me now :) Love Anna

Evening!!
All recovered from the day out in Busy Bees?? A great success all round I think! Thorougly enjoyed it. When we going on a similar outing? Or even a smaller group? Would like to get lots of toddler socialising done while I have the chance. Maybe even have one of the Thursday meets in Monkey Business for a change? And on the topic of socialising - count me in for a mommies night out.Thursday 5th is good for me. I really don't mind what kind of food or where we go. Will be a teetotal night for me anyway so I will be able to tell ye what ye get up to!!! Any suggestions on where we go? Maybe Oscars - never been there but have heard good reports.Or some of the old reliables like McSwiggans or Seventh Heaven (or what ever it is called now - can't remember). Not fussy but hopefully this will get the ball rolling. Michelle - count me in for Friday - would like to try it out and then work out which location and class time works best for us. Will have to line up Granny to take Kieran - don't think he would be up for having a go! Mel - dying to see the photos! Could get a lot of business in the posing toddler market if you're interested! Hope to make GB on Thursday with the little man himself. But will have to see. Didn't managed to get dressed till 2pm today! Remember those days girls.

Hi All
Can now confirm time for the Gymboree class on Friday. It is from 10 -11 this Friday in the little room at the side of Knocknacarra church. As I said before it is free and all are welcome, so spread the word if you are in touch with any other Moms in the meantime. Hopefully it will be good. I also add a separate posting to the board in case there is anybody interested.
Curious_Cat. I am very sorry that I did not speak to you on Sunday. I am only now realising who you were. I was admiring your little boy from a distance but I didn't realise that you were one of the eu-moms. Silly me, I should have known that such a small little boy wouldn't be a regular Busy Bee visitor. My apologies.
Must dash busy day ahead.

HI girls, Again, another satisfied mommy here after the outing on Sunday, I am so glad so many turned up and all those brave daddies!! Hope they realise that the company thier wives keep on the internet is not all bad! It was great to meet little Max, and I hadn't seen Conor or Aoibheann in so long, my, how they have grown! Thursday 5th is good for me, Us 3 will eat anything, even if it does result in heartburn! Gymboree on Friday is good for me too, count me in. I am doing mostly full weeks for the next few, but told boss I will be taking an odd half day. Melissa, I won't be at Knoknacarra M/T on Thursday - if you were there you could maybe round up a few more heads for the gymboree? Right I am off. Fiona

Great to see ye all on sunday and Curiour-Cat my apologies also for not saying 'hello' to you and teh adorable Max on sunday, didn't realise who you were!
Thursday 5th should be okay for me providing i can get a baby sitter I might have a problem getting a baby sitter (DH get a job in Galway pleaseeeeeeeee!). McSwiggans sounds lovely but we'd prob need to decide 'yesterday' cause they'll be pretty busy.
By the way is it possible that GS could be going through the terrible two's at the age of 13 months? Not sure if she is just off form with teething but the last day or so she has taken to throwing herself down on the floor in a temper (definitely does not get it from me1) Mammy's of older babas, any of you having the same problem??

Hi everyone, Just to say how much we enjoyed ourselves on Sunday.Busy Bees definitely go the thumbs up from the gang here. Thanks Fiona for organising it , Melb for taking the photos,(I should have had a party dress on Aoibheann!)and everyone else for making us welcome. It was lovely to see all the creepers, crawlers, wobblers and toddlers in action.I really couldn't believe Lily was walking so well so soon.Cat, Max is just absolutely gorgeous, you forget how cute they are at that age. I won't start naming all the names in case I leave someone out but it was great to meet all of you.Enjoy all the Santa shopping and your nights out. Caitlin.

Hi all, Another happy camper here too! Johnny thought it was lovely, and atleast now he knows that all my 'internet friends' are not just in my imagination!! When we got home, I made Amy's tea, and oh my God, I've never seen her eat like that!!!! She was pulling my hand into her mouth, I just wasn't going fast enough!! I might be going there more often now!! Thursday 4th is grand for me too and I'm not too fussy about what I eat. Mc Swiggan's is always reliable, but as someone said, we'd need to move fast on that one. Gotta go now and get organised cos we are heading to D'gal tomorrow so I won't be around on Thursday. Will chat llater, and count me in on all plans for the night out!

Just to let you know i took the initiative (FionaMC has enoujgh on her mind!) and phoned Mcswiggans. They 'probably' won't be taking any more big parties (i.e. anything more than 4) for the night of the 4th Dec. I'm to ring back after 6 to confirm that they can't.
Anybody any other ideas?
Oscars would be nice but I hear it can be very expensive but I'll go with the flow

The Advertiser has been advertising restaurants for crimbo parties. Have last weeks one at home, and I will have a look at it later to see if there is anything. McSwiggs is nice though......... Fiona

Hi Girls, Re. 4th Dec. why not something cheap and cheerful!! Oscars is fab but may be slightly dearer than most places. McSwiggans would probably be the best and suit all but if its not available what about Pierre Victoires - haven't eaten there but hear its reasonable and would suit all palettes. Has anyone else eaten there? Or the Brasserie - anyone tried there? There's always Italian - Trattoria & Milanos (both reasonable) or a Chinese/Mexican/Thai. Any ideas???? Love the Thai myself, but they have 2 sittings so one is 7 (v. early and the other is 9 (v.late). Maybe Mammy will have luck with McSwiggans. Olive

Pierre Victoires is quite good. Was at a hen night there and they are used to dealing with large parties. Food was quite good as far as I can remember.

Pierre Vic. or Milanos would both be fine by me. Another thought would be Cactus Jacks (used to be 7th heaven).
Gotta go, helping organize a baby shower tonight!
Great party last week by the way- will bring photos to mammies night out, don't have them developed yet.

Hi there
See some of you on Friday at Gymboree! Is Thursday in GB still on?
Pierre's, Cactus Jacks & McSwiggans all get my vote - not fussy. Looking forward to the night out and the company more than anything. Hope we can all make it. Just talking to my sister - she has two very sick babies at home. 2 yr old has broncitis, larangytis & tracheaitis (excuse medical spelling). Was told that only she is a nurse and knows how to use a nebuliser he would have ended up in casualty!!! He had a temp of 39.2 at one stage. It developed over a matter of hours. Now the 6 month old is getting cranky and has a lovely bark to match her brother!!. And to top it all off her childminder has pluresy. Will be watching these two like a hawk. Want happy babies for the holidays and any possible days/nights out. So watch those coughs and sniffles. MMG -was thinking about you and Ava while stuck in traffic. Was stuck outside Wesco's (behind Ulster Bank on tuam road - near Mocca Beans) They supply a lot of the toys in Busy Bees. My childminder had told me about them when I was looking for a chair for Sinead - might be worth a shot for that lovely blue tyre thing she took a fancy to. Mammy - have had stamping of feet but not lying on the floor yet - sure it will come! Everyone tells me all these things they get up to are just phases!!!!

Everyone
Mammy, thanks for taking the bull by the horns on the Mc Swiggans front - as if you don't have enough to do!!! I reckon we will be lucky to get in there all right.
I will try Pierres this evening, so that we have a backup if we don't get Mc Swiggans. I'd say a booking for 10 is a safe number.
If things get too difficult there is always Milanos.
Talk soon

just as a possible third backup, I CHECKED ADVERTISER THEY WERE ADVERTISING DINNERS IN THE HARBOUR HOTEL, NEVER BEEN, bit another option perhaps.
My brother has had 2 very sick kids (4 and 1and a half), one was in the hospital for 5 days with severe respiratory infection. God love them, but they are on the mend now. Lauren so rarely gets sick, touchwood, I am so lucky.
